B-25 Mitchells The B-25s are medium bombers that were well known as the aircraft used in the Doolittle Raid in which 16 of these planes flew one way missions from the carrier USS Hornet to attack Japan in April 1942 just 4 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Once the aircraft completed their missions the pilots were briefed to fly onto China.
