Art Lecture Series with Richard Kelly

The Arts of Great Falls announces the next talk in their Art Lecture Series, “Collecting for the Long Haul” by Richard Kelly on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 7-8 p.m. at The Arts of Great Falls School, 756 Walker Rd., Great Falls. Richard Kelly is a local art collector whose collection focuses on the Golden Age of American Illustration (1890-1935). The Kelly Collection holds approximately 350 paintings including originals by Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish and N. C. Wyeth, works on paper, and 9,500 volumes in its reference library. It is located in the Kelly residence which was designed by museum architects specifically for the display and storage of the art. Hear from Kelly how the Collection was put together, how it is cared for and how it is shared with people all over the country. The Art Lecture Series is always free and open to the community.
